State expands electronic filing and payment mandate for business taxes
Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, the Louisiana Department of Revenue will expand its electronic filing and payment mandate to business tax returns, forms, payments and fees including all withholding taxes and most sales & use taxes. The expansion of the electronic filing and payment mandate is part of an ongoing initiative to reduce costs and streamline tax administration processes. City of West Monroe to host annual Tree Lighting on Monday, Dec. 2
The City of West Monroe has announced the date for its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event will take place on Monday, Dec. 2. The ceremony will be held on Dec 2nd at 7 p.m. at the West Monroe City Hall parking lot located at 2305 N. 7th Street. The public is invited to view the official lighting of the City Hall Christmas Tree as well as several live Christmas Trees located on the grounds of City Hall that have been decorated by local schools and organizations. Land of Lights to Open in Downtown West Monroe on Thursday
The Land of Lights in Downtown West Monroe is now officially opening on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, visitors and locals in Ouachita Parish can freely walk through a magical wonderland of light displays at the entrance at the Corner of Cotton and Pine Street in West Monroe.
