PAWS of NE Louisiana will present the 15th Annual Krewe of PAWS Mardi Gras Pet Parade Fundraiser taking place in West Monroe’s Antique Alley on Saturday, February 19th at the corner of Wood and Commerce.
PAWS is proud to once again hold this family-friendly event after the pandemic prevented the fundraiser in 2021. Pets of all types – and their families - will be kicking off the Twin Cities Mardi Gras festivities in their finest costumes. There will be music, food, games for the kids, prizes, and lots of adorable pets.
Platinum sponsors are Vanguard Realty, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Monroe and West Monroe, and Gordon McKernan Injury Attorney. Online pre-registration for parade participants is available January 17 – February 7 at pawnela.org. The cost is $25 for the first pet and $5 for each additional pet. Parade day registration begins at 11am with the cost of $25 for the first pet and $10 for each additional pet. Costume and float contests are $5 each and will be held at 12pm. Line-up is at 12:30pm and the parade rolls at 1:00pm.
The Parade is our biggest fundraiser each year to jump start our vital community Low Income Spay/Neuter Assistance and Animal Rescue Program. PAWS is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in May 2003 to help the communities in the Northeast Louisiana area. Read more about us at pawsnela.org.
