ULM’s annual Trunk or Treat event will look a little different this year due to COVID-19 – it’s the Drive-Thru Edition. The festivities take place in ULM’s Brown Stadium parking lot, located on Warhawk Way next to Malone Stadium, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29.
Instead of walking to each student organization and ULM department, this year vehicles will caravan in a line to receive special treats.
Sponsored by Student Life and Leadership, Trunk or Treat is a favorite event for little tricksters and their parents. Costumes are optional, but safety is required.
Several COVID-19 precautions are being taken by ULM to make this event safe and accessible for the public. Students and staff distributing treats will have their temperatures checked before the event and are required to wear gloves and masks at all times. Visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles.
Individually wrapped treats, prepackaged in sealed goodie bags, will be provided for trunk-or-treaters. Candy will be distributed with no direct, hand-to-hand contact with visitors in their vehicles. Treats will be delivered through the window on a serving tray or in a basket.
This event provides an opportunity for the children of the community to come to ULM and trick or treat in a fun, yet safe manner. This event is free and open to the public.
