West Monroe Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series May 3rd at Noon
Free concerts every Wednesday in May at the Pavilion at 7th Square
The first concert will be held Wednesday May 3rd featuring Rod Payne and Lisa Spann. This Duo has played countless venues in our area over the years. Lisa has been performing with Rod for more than 15 years all over north Louisiana - she now fronts her own band Lisa Spann and Company - Rod Allen Payne is without question this areas most visible musician - his command of many different styles of music have kept him busy and in the public eye for more than 50 yrs - He has performed at hundreds of corporate events - wedding receptions- dances and society affairs - he has also written and recorded numerous commercials theme songs and jingles - He says playing with outstanding musicians and vocalists like Lisa Spann- Billy Ledbetter- GG Shinn - Adam Jones - Lawrence Gibbs - Lisa Lee Phifer and many others have kept music fresh and challenging - he says “why slow down I’m still having fun”
Brown Bag Lunch Concerts are held every Wednesday in May from noon to 1 p.m. at the Pavilion at Seventh Square in West Monroe, located directly behind the West Monroe Farmer’s Market.
The West Monroe Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series is presented by WMWO Chamber of Commerce and the City of West Monroe in partnership with Emily Nunnelee State Farm, B&E Wholesale, Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union, Paramount Healthcare Consultants, The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, Newk’s Eatery, 90.3 KEDM, and the Ouachita Parish School System. Artists coordinated by Music City Studios – Northeast Louisiana’s Premier Recording Studio.
The concerts are free to the general public. Newk's Eatery will be selling bagged lunches on site which include a half sandwich, bag of chips and half dessert. Lunches are sold on a first come, first served basis. Attendees may also bring a brown bag lunch while they enjoy various musical performances. Chairs and complimentary beverages and desserts will be provided by the sponsors. The Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series will continue with a fall series on Wednesdays in September.
