If you’ve been considering adoption and welcoming a new furry friend into your home, Music City Studios is partnering up with the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter for an all-day family friendly event that will take place on Saturday, March 25th. The event, “Bow Wow and Meow,” will be at Music City Studios in West Monroe, commencing at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. The Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter will be lowering their rates for the day and are encouraging the community to attend. Food vendors and live music performances will be present as well. Other local shelters and vendors are welcome to be part of Bow Wow and Meow as Music City Studios and the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter are continuously looking for more sponsors. All proceeds will be going straight to the shelter. Jordan Alexander, the COO of Music City Studios, believes adoption is crucial for the community and animals who need a loving home. He stresses the importance of supporting local shelters instead of breeders. “It’s always better to adopt than to shop. Animals are waiting in shelters for caring and loving homes,” says Alexander. Many breeders get their animals from mills. These are inhumane facilities that breed animals for profit. The animals living in these deplorable conditions have a reduced life expectancy and suffer long-term health issues such as deafness, blood disorders, endocrine disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, and more.
