Chennault Aviation & Military Museum announces grand opening of new Chennault exhibit with ceremony.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum will welcome the world to the grand opening of “Way of a Fighter”, a new exhibit based on the 1949 memoir of Gen. Claire Lee Chennault. The exhibit gives visitors a unique, first-person view of the life and accomplishments of Chennault and the men he commanded in China during World War II.

The evening will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a special ceremony. Jinshu Wang, chairman of Shandong Yuhuang Chemical Group, will present the surviving six members of the Flying Tigers with solid gold medallions on behalf of the Chinese people.
A reception featuring cocktails, appetizers, live music, a silent auction and in-depth tours of the new exhibit will follow from 7-9 p.m.
Location
The Chennault Aviation & Military Museum is located at 701 Kansas Lane in Monroe, and is operated by the Friends of the Chennault Museum.
Fees/Admission
Tickets to the grand opening are $35 per person for museum members, and $50 per person for nonmembers. All proceeds benefit the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum.
