Downtown RiverJam
(MONROE, La.) The Downtown Monroe Alliance will host the Feb. 4th Downtown River Jam, brought to you by the Jim Taylor Auto Group. Downtown River Jam will be held at Henry Bry Park, on the Skent and Dent Stage and will feature Tipitina's Co-Op House Band of Monroe beginning at 6pm. This event is held in conjunction with the Downtown Gallery Crawl.
The Tips Co-Op Monroe House Band is comprised of various members. The band is Bassist Daniel Solomon, Guitarist Kyle "Fuzzy" Smith, Father and Son Ed and Jake Schiele (Piano and Guitar) and Co-Op Manger Jimmie Bryant II. The band plays a diverse set of great covers and fun originals and prides themselves of passionate performances.
"We have some great Downtown River Jam events planned for this year and you need to be there, " said DMA Director, Myra Gatling-Akers.
Henry Bry Park is located on the corner of Walnut and Desiard St., at the foot of the Endom Bridge. Admission to Downtown River Jam is free and open to the public. Spirits will be available for purchase and beer tasting provided by Choice Brands.

Downtown Monroe Alliance started Downtown River Jam in 2010 to bring more entertainment to the downtown area. There are a minimum of 4 of these outdoor concerts held each year. We plan to offer 6 concerts this year. Some of these concerts are held in conjunction with the Art Crawl which takes place every even month on the first Thursday.
