Downtown West Monroe merchants invite the public to its annual Holiday Open House this Sunday, November 3. The annual event features special Sunday shopping hours from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., giving the community a unique opportunity to support local merchants and find one-of-a-kind gifts in a festive atmosphere. Participating downtown businesses will offer complimentary refreshments and exclusive promotions during the event.
“Holiday Open House has become a wonderful way to celebrate the beginning of the festive shopping season,” said Adrienne LaFrance-Wells, City of West Monroe Main Street Director. “Our merchants work hard to prepare for this critical time of year in retail and they’re excited to open their doors for this joyous event. Downtown is the ideal place to make holiday memories while supporting those business owners who give back to our community and make West Monroe unique.”
Shoppers can expect a delightful mix of gifts, seasonal décor, fashion, tasty treats, and specials. Live music with guitarist Joel Jordan and harpist Miriam Bennett will also be happening during the downtown merchant-organized event, adding to the festive atmosphere of the afternoon.
Downtown West Monroe was recently recognized by World Atlas as one of eight Bustling Main Street communities in the state of Louisiana. The district, commonly known as “Antique Alley,” features over 80 small businesses and has been named a National Register Historic District as well as a certified Louisiana Main Street.
