The webinar will cover three topics: The Paycheck Protection Plan Loan Program, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Employee Retention Tax Credit.
Jerry L Stovall, Jr., an attorney with Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP in Baton Rouge will discuss the Families First Family and Medical Leave Act. The act provides COVID 19 related tax credits for required paid sick leave and paid family leave.
Chris Scribner, SVP, Head of Public Policy and Corporate Affairs at Regions Bank in Washington DC will give an overview of the Paycheck Protection Loan. He will be followed by Kevin T. Smith, Kevin T. Smith, Senior Vice President & Market Executive, Regions Bank who will discuss the application process and reporting requirements.
Tim Green, CPA and Partner at Allen Green and Williamson will address some practical issues in compiling the application. Green will touch on the Employee Retention Tax Credit and its impact on business.
All businesses are invited to participate. If you plan to submit a Paycheck Protection Plan Loan on behalf of your business, begin by calling the bank that manages your business banking. All local banks are participating in this SBA Loan program. Most area banks are focused on their existing customers. There are a few that will work with new clients.
Participants can submit questions that will be answered at the end of the presentation. The webinar will run from 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm.
