Kiwanis Pancake Day
As we enter our 98th year of service to the community, The Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita proudly announces its 64th Annual Pancake Day on November 5th, 2019!
Pancake Day is one of two primary fundraisers for the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita — the other being our annual Christmas Parade!
Donations from Pancake Day are used to enrich the lives of children in Ouachita Parish and the fundraising from last year’s Pancake Day allowed Kiwanis club to sponsor:
. K-Kids at Highland Elementary
. Builder’s Club at River Oaks
. Key Clubs at West Monroe High School and Neville High School
. Circle K at ULM
. Bikes for Books program at the Ouachita Parish Library by providing bikes for the kids
Additionally Kiwanians:
. Delivered Meals on Wheels to the elderly and housebound on Christmas Day
. Read books for Clara Hall’s Snuggle Buggle Book Night
. Served dinner at MedCamps
. Had an Easter Egg Hunt at the Baptist Children’s Home
. Assisted in the Project Help program at Swayze, Riverbend, Riser, and Lenwil Elementary Schools
. Awarded four scholarships to graduating Key Club seniors
Moreover, monetary donations are made to numerous organizations throughout Monroe and West Monroe and greater Ouachita which have directly impacted the lives of children in our area.
All donations are used to support the children in our area and do not leave our community.
