SBIR Road Tour
Innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and small technology firms can benefit from learning more about seed funding opportunities from federal agencies through the SBIR/STTR programs. Initial funding of up to $150,000 may be awarded for establishing technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of promising technologies. Additional funding of up to $1 million may be awarded for moving forward with further research and prototype development. Federal agencies representing $2.5 billion in early stage funding will be present to deliver overviews of their programs and to meet one-on-one with potential applicants. A presentation on developing the key components of a competitive SBIR/STTR proposal and a panel discussion with previous award winners is included. Opportunities to obtain information and meet with experts on the SBIR/STTR program, proposal writing, commercialization plans, state incentives, and more will be provided. There is no fee to attend, but ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. To increase your chances of securing a meeting with your preferred agencies, register immediately at https://sbir-roadtour-rustonla.eventbrite.com and follow link in the confirmation email to schedule agency meetings.
