The Gallery, sponsored by Origin Bank, is a small but powerful collection of art from a single, prominent artist displayed in the Airport main terminal. It is the result of a collaborative effort between the MLU Airport Administration, City of Monroe, Origin Bank and the Masur Museum of Art in pursuit of promoting an appreciation of visual art from local artists, native to Louisiana. As an important part of the Airport's strategic plan, it is also meant to enhance the traveler's flying experience and create a positive public perception. The first featured artist, Don Cincone, is an internationally renowned expressionist known for vibrant colors, modified pointillism and subliminal imagery. He will fuel your imagination while showcasing his technical expertise with themes of local interest: bareback horse riding, fishing from a pirogue, eating summer watermelon and of course, hunting. Mr. Cincone is currently a featured artist at the prestigious Kurt E. Schon Fine Art Museum in the New Orleans French Quarters and will be a featured artist on LPB's "ArtRocks!" program soon. Children are welcomed and come expecting to be amazed! Range: Framed Original Watercolors($1,500) to One-of-a-Kind Original Acrylic on Canvas($85,000)
