City of West Monroe announces street closures for Ouachita RiverFest April 26-27
The City of West Monroe has announced street closures for this weekend’s upcoming Ouachita RiverFest taking place Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 in downtown West Monroe. The following street closures will take effect on Friday, April 26, beginning at 7 a.m.: Trenton Street will close to all vehicles from Pine to Wood Streets Commerce Street will close to all vehicles from Natchitoches to Wood Streets Natchitoches Street will close between Cotton and Trenton Streets Ouachita RiverFest
Living Well Foundation Announces Grant Cycle and Grant-Writing Seminars
The Board of Directors of the Living Well Foundation announces that a Grant Cycle for 2024 will open April 26, 2024, to accept letters of intent, with applications completed by May 31, 2024. All requests must be submitted through the online software portal on the Foundation website by the completion date in order to be considered. Grant-writing seminars and information for the grant cycle will be offered Monday, March 18, 2024, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 9:00-12:30 p.m.

The City of West Monroe has announced the following street closures and parade route for the Twin Cities Krewe de Riviere Mardi Gras Parade that will roll through West Monroe into Monroe on Saturday, Jan. 27. The parade is set to roll at 5 p.m. from West Monroe High School. The parade will travel south on N. 7th Street to Mill Street, where it will turn left.
