Ouachita Green Hosts Annual America Recycles Day – Saturday, November 15, 2025
Ouachita Green invites all Ouachita Parish residents to participate in the annual America Recycles Day event on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Monroe Civic Center, 401 Lea Joyner Memorial Expressway, Monroe.
This drive-through recycling event makes it easy for residents to drop off recyclable items without leaving their vehicles. Volunteers will be on hand to help unload. The event is free to attend, and donations are always appreciated to help support local recycling and beautification programs.

America Recycles Day is open to all households in Ouachita Parish. (No business waste will be accepted.)
Items Accepted:

Paper: office paper, cardboard

Plastics: #1 & #2 only (no plastic bags or Styrofoam)

Metal: white goods, scrap metal, appliances, aluminum, tin

Electronics: computers, monitors, printers, scanners, fax machines, DVD players, TVs, stereos, tablets, cell phones

Glass: jars and bottles only

Household Items: furniture, clothing

Paper Shredding: limit 3 boxes per household, provided by Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union

Tires: limit 5 personal vehicle tires without rims per household

Ouachita Green hosts this community event each year to promote recycling, reduce waste, protect the environment, educate residents on proper disposal, divert waste from landfills, and conserve natural resources.
