Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana Distributes Record-Breaking 480 Backpacks at Super Sat
The Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its annual Super Saturday Back 2 School Bash + Backpack Giveaway, held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Origin Bank Family Garden at the Children’s Coalition. This year's event set a new record, with 480 backpacks filled with essential school supplies distributed to children from across Northeast Louisiana, significantly surpassing last year's total.
The free, family-fun event, which is consistently the highest attended Super Saturday of the year, saw a vibrant turnout of families eager to prepare for the upcoming academic year. The success of the giveaway was made possible through the invaluable partnerships with Stacey Smith, Advanced Healthcare Professional, Pinnacle Family Health, and RocketFast Car Wash, whose dedication to the community helped amplify the event's reach and impact.
"We are absolutely delighted by the incredible turnout and the ability to provide 480 children with the tools they need to start the school year strong and ready," said Deidra Adair, Executive Director at the Children’s Coalition. "This success truly highlights the power of community collaboration. Our partners, volunteers, and the families who attended made this year's Back 2 School Bash an unforgettable day."
In a continued effort to maximize community impact, the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana also announced two additional initiatives:

Donation to Grace Place Ministries: An additional 48 backpacks have been donated to Grace Place Ministries, further extending support to children in need within the community.

Leftover Supplies to Delhi's Back-To-School Block Party 2025: Any remaining school supplies from the Super Saturday event will be generously donated to Delhi's Back-To-School Block Party, taking place on Friday, August 8th in Delhi, LA, ensuring that resources reach even more students in neighboring communities.
The Super Saturday Back 2 School Bash featured a variety of engaging activities and resources provided by numerous community partners, creating a festive and educational atmosphere for all attendees.
