KARD’s parent company Nexstar Media Group and its Nexstar Charitable Foundation have awarded NOVA with a check for $5,000. Randy Stone, General Manager and Vice President of KARD FOX14 (and sister station KTVE NBC10) said “The amazing work NOVA does and the impact it has each day in the lives of the individuals they serve is transformational. On behalf of Nexstar we are proud to invest into this organization knowing the long-term impact is has on our local community and region.”
NOVA Workforce Institute of Northeast Louisiana has served over 2,600 individuals and has placed 1,350 into the workforce. The projected annual wage impact of those securing living wage jobs is over $33 million annually. NOVA provides residents and employers of Northeast Louisiana with Hope, Help and Opportunity (H2O) in creating a work-ready workforce.
In the past several years, KARD, through the Nexstar Charitable Foundation, has given $5,000 to SOS Pets of Ouachita to help pay for a new shelter, The Children’s Coalition of Northeast Louisiana, and now to NOVA Workforce Institute of Northeast Louisiana.
