Land of Lights to Open in Downtown West Monroe on Thursday
The Land of Lights in Downtown West Monroe is now officially opening on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, visitors and locals in Ouachita Parish can freely walk through a magical wonderland of light displays at the entrance at the Corner of Cotton and Pine Street in West Monroe.
Special appearances of Christmas characters will be available for photos on some Saturday nights during the holiday season. Three built in photo opportunities at the Land of Lights include a Greetings from Monroe-West Monroe postcard, large J-O-Y letters, and a Christmas tree seated area.

Discover Monroe-West Monroe partnered with Chambless Enterprises to install the lights, while the Ike Hamilton Expo supplied the panels utilized for safety with the lights.
The tourism bureau sends a warm thank you to Senator Jay Morris and the City of West Monroe for the lot space, and to JTB Rentals LLC for supplying the equipment needed to reach the tall trees and buildings.

From November 20 – January 1, 2026, the lights are available for a walk-through each night at 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. It’s free to the public to enjoy.
