West Monroe, LA – Saturday, February 8, 2025, six teams will gather at West Monroe High School-Shelby Aulds Memorial Baseball Field for the Bayou Jamb Baseball Jamboree powered by D-Bat of Monroe. Each team will have the opportunity to compete in a two-game series to take home bragging rights.
Ouachita Christian High School, Neville High School, Ouachita High School, Ruston High School, West Ouachita High School, and West Monroe High School will take part in a full day, two-game series jamboree. The jamboree will again provide fans and spectators of all ages with an opportunity to enjoy a variety of baseball-related activities in a family-oriented, and safe atmosphere.
The Bayou Jamb Home Run Derby will take place at 2:30 pm where the thrill of baseball meets the excitement of a jamboree! This event promises power-packed swings, jaw-dropping homers, and a whole lot of fun. Join us for a day of epic moments and incredible talent and watch to see who will be crowned champion of the inaugural Bayou Jamb Home Run Derby where the winner will take home a one-of-a-kind wooden D-Bat. This is an experience you will not want to miss.
BAYOU JAMB MEDIA DAY – West Monroe, LA – The Bayou Jamb 2025 Baseball Media Day will be Monday, February 3rd, at the Edgewood Center of West Monroe High School beginning at 10 am. Coaches from the six participating teams will address the media, and each school will bring two of its top players.
BAYOU JAMB SCHOLARSHIP – On Saturday, February 8th, Bayou Jamb will go “Beyond the Game” by honoring one baseball player with a $500 scholarship based on their leadership, character, and community involvement.
TICKETS – Tickets are $12 in advance at schools, $15 at gate, 5u free. Current LHSAA coaching card accepted. All ticket proceeds purchased in advance will go directly to each participating school.
LIFETIME ACHIVMENT AWARD –The 2025 Bayou Jamb Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree is Coach Jeff Schexnaider, currently at The Dunham School, a member of the Louisiana Baseball Coach Hall of Fame and former Head Baseball Coach of the University of Louisiana Warhawks.
ULTIMATE KID AND FAN ZONE –Bring the entire family including the kids for a day of baseball and enjoy Johnny’s Pizza Kid and Fan Zone! You can expect a fan-friendly, walkable footprint featuring games, jumpers and fun activities for the entire family starting Saturday, February 8th at 9:00 am.
