Wreaths can be purchased to place on the headstone of a fallen soldier through Nov. 26
The City of West Monroe will host a wreath-laying ceremony at Hasley Cemetery as part of Wreaths Across America on Friday, December 13 at 10 a.m. at Hasley Cemetery.
The ceremony will take place at the gazebo located on the grounds of Hasley Cemetery at 1500 Arkansas Road in West Monroe.
Hasley Cemetery is an official Wreaths Across American location. The public is encouraged to sponsor a live wreath to place on the headstone of fallen service members laid to rest at the cemetery. More than 800 veterans are buried at the cemetery. Wreaths can be purchased for $17 each. The deadline to purchase a wreath is Tuesday, November 26.
This annual event seeks to further the yearlong mission to “Remember, Honor, Teach,” ensuring the memory of those who served our country endures. The public is invited to attend this ceremony and assist in the placing of wreaths on the headstones of fallen soldiers.
